COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Socarrada is a "gastro-ale," or food-pairing golden ale made with only, water, malts (pils/amber), hops, yeast, rosemary, and rosemary honey. La Socarrada pours a beautiful golden-amber color with a light, white, non-persistant head. The nose is wonderfully appetizing, filled with rosemary, rosemary-honey, and a light bread-like quality. The taste is full of rosemary, rosemary honey, and fruity characteristics along the lines of pear, apple, and fig. There is also a distinct gingery bite as well as a light note of black pepper. The body is both crisp and pleasantly dry. It is recommended to be served around 45° in a white wine glass or snifter.

I saw medals on the bottle but not sure why here where there in the first place. NORMAL beer but nothing to write home about. Rosmary is there and that is a nice touch honey not so much. Mine sample is a yeasty yet crisp I know it doesnt make much sense.

Nice honey aroma, but the rosemary is too much. It overwhelms the beer. Totally out of balance.
