COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
La Socarrada is a "gastro-ale," or food-pairing golden ale made with only, water, malts (pils/amber), hops, yeast, rosemary, and rosemary honey. La Socarrada pours a beautiful golden-amber color with a light, white, non-persistant head. The nose is wonderfully appetizing, filled with rosemary, rosemary-honey, and a light bread-like quality. The taste is full of rosemary, rosemary honey, and fruity characteristics along the lines of pear, apple, and fig. There is also a distinct gingery bite as well as a light note of black pepper. The body is both crisp and pleasantly dry. It is recommended to be served around 45° in a white wine glass or snifter.

dyetube (1378) - Hurst, Texas, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Bottle from choice beverages in McKinney. Pours a cloudy dull yellow with a thin white head. The aromas are rosemary, honey, light grass, lemon. The mouthfeel is dry with a light body and low carbonation. Very interesting brew indeed! Great sessionable beer. Rosemary is noticeable without overpowering. Light honey sweetness as well as faint grassy and fruity notes. Subtle and interesting.

Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Aroma is mildly herbal; rosemary, ginger. Floral fragrances are also present. A cloudy orangish amber pour with frothy, mostly diminishing, off-white head and clumpy lacing. The taste, like the nose is herbal with peppery ROSEMARY being the predominate flavor! Medium body with soft carbonation. Overall, refreshing, like "adult" herbal tea Not something I would drink all the time, but I would definately drink it again.

BeerandBlues2 (13307) - Escondido, California, USA - JAN 29, 2014

Aroma is sweet and earthy rosemary, biscuit and light toast malt, pear and fig esters with earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is moderate spices, earthy and spicy rosemary, honey, medium sweet malt, pear and fig esters with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

deyholla (11600) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 4, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a real nice rosemary note with sweet grains and bit of dry honey. Flavor is similar with honey and rosemary working together and a sweet grain backbone.

Un original toque de romero. Se supone que también tiene miel de romero, pero no la hace nada dulce. Tomar muy fria.

allmyvinyl (10613) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 25, 2014
750ml bottle at Stu’s. Gusher! Once it settled down, poured hazy gild with a thick white head. Aromas are spicy, bready, honey and just picking up the rosemary. Taste brings more spice and fruit. Really interesting beer.

Yenni0 (5) - SPAIN - MAY 15, 2015 does not count
The rosemary and honey notes are clearly appreciable in the aroma but are more subtle in the palate. Tan head and cloudy amber appearance. Not very fizzy, medium body and long aftertaste.
