La Socarrada is a "gastro-ale," or food-pairing golden ale made with only, water, malts (pils/amber), hops, yeast, rosemary, and rosemary honey. La Socarrada pours a beautiful golden-amber color with a light, white, non-persistant head. The nose is wonderfully appetizing, filled with rosemary, rosemary-honey, and a light bread-like quality. The taste is full of rosemary, rosemary honey, and fruity characteristics along the lines of pear, apple, and fig. There is also a distinct gingery bite as well as a light note of black pepper. The body is both crisp and pleasantly dry. It is recommended to be served around 45° in a white wine glass or snifter.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Cloudy yellow-orange with a herbal rosemary and ginger flavour followed by a smooth herbal finish. Good, but difficult to drink a lot of.

Ok. Huele a romero, sabe a romero. No soy ultra del Reinheitsgebot pero es realmente necesario este tipo de mejunjes? Sin más...

Iznogud (4125) - CROATIA - JUN 16, 2016
On tap at Olhops, Valencia. Pours hazy orange, white head. Caramel malts, herbal notes, quite spicy, rosemary. Light to medium bodied. Can’t say I’m a fan of this herbal/spices combination.

Dull brown colour with almost no head. Definitely some light rosemary in the aroma. In the flavour there are hints of honey sweetness too. Not bad and easy to see why it can easily be paired with food.

Rune (13383) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 8, 2016
330ml design bottle, outdoor at Cafe Dulcina. Dotted spots from a dissipating beige head. Cloudy apricot coloured body. Perfumed fruity smell, rosemary and ginger. The taste profile follows suit with honeyed spices of rosemary and ginger, some fruity notes beneath. Drinkable, not the best choice from the fridge at the street cafe (Alicante 07.06.2016).
