My Bottom Line:
Fruity and floral hops rise through this IPA’s delicately caramelized cereals, leading an earthy and resinous bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A generous helping of foam sticks to the top of the hazy amber.
-Carbonation is airy, making the body feel lighter than it probably is.
-Drinkability is quite high for a beer this strength.
-I don’t necessarily agree with the new ‘Double IPA’ style written on the label. This is still their regular IPA and tastes as such. It is not bold enough to be considered a Double IPA.

Drank on tap (14 oz) at the Limoilou brewpub on June 9, 2017. Murky copper, medium head. Hoppy peach herb aroma, very fresh. The taste is sweeter, good hoppy pine flavor with notes of pineapples, very dry bitterness. Very solid IPA!

A hazed golden amber ipa with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, fruity malt with loads of tropical fruits, floral and resinous hops, citrus pulp, catty notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light grassy floral and resinous hops, citrus pulp, alcohol warmth, very nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.

On tap at brewpub. Pours a nice copper and is topped by a small white head that leave intense lacing. Aroma is piny almost exclusively with a really light citrusy background. Taste is bitter (medium-high) but not harshly so. Flavors of grapefruit rind and again pine. Some caramel but under control. Intense and lingering bitter finish. Alcohol is really apparent. Body is medium, texture oily. Good one!

On tap at La Souche. Hazy gold pour with lacy white head. Honey mango pine aroma, very fruity, well done hoppiness. Taste is quite bitter, a tad enamel stripping to my taste, pretty strong caramel sweetness as well, not exactly sessionable. Palate is full bodied with light-med carbonation. Their best offering I’ve had yet.
