If you like basil and have some cuisine to go with it, go for it! It’s a very nicely crafted beer imho, the basil is very intense, especially in the nose. Flavour is also nice, mild with strong basil.

I was expecting something far worse, but it’s kinda good. Pale in appearance, with nice head, absolutely clear. Aroma is dominated by basil and some other herbal notes. Taste is very shallow, though. There’s a lack of bitterness, body is rather medium-low.

Terrible experiment in my opinion. Quite nice mouthfeel and looks but the herbs just don’t hit my taste buds in a positive way.

Draft sample @ Fiera della Birra, Cesena ’14. In an ocean of boring look-alike beers that fail to set each other apart from the next or from being a clone of an American comes Genova. While not being the Holy Grail of beers this one was by far the most intriguing and intersting beer of the festival, to love or to hate. That is what Italy needs. 16 for originality.

Bottle 0.33L. Hazy, yellow body with an average, frothy, white head, mostly diminishing with some lacing; average density of tiny bubbles. Moderate hoppy (herbal) and light malty aroma with evident notes of basil. Moderate-to-heavy sweet flavour with some light bitterness and sournerss in the finish; clear notes of basil. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; lively carbonation.

georgeous, and weird, innovation gives the big scores. What a match to a crispy pizza, aaah

Yellow hay colour with minimal head on top. Really weird smell, spices, herbs, stingy basil and some vinegar too. Taste has pesto, basil, grassy flavors and just hints of sweet barley malts. Thin body and medium carbonation, really weird beer and I’m definitely not trying it again.
