Poured from a bottle it is a clear brown color with a tan head. The aroma is strong vanilla and the taste is thin and the flavor melds into coffee Iphonephan (6989) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - JAN 24, 2016
From a 650 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a clear cola with a tan head. Flavors of tobacco and leather. Thin, but pretty flavorful. mathieuc (3996) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 6, 2015
Thanks to Minderbinder for that one. Pours a dark brown with a thin beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Nose is of chicory, coffee and ash. Taste is of green pepper, coffee and ash. I would usually just frown and complain about all the ash but it isn’t really as bad as I thought it would be. Not stellar by any mean, still. Body is light, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel is thin and acidic. Overall this wasn’t a good stout while still beating my expectations, lol. tom10101 (6087) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 5, 2015
How: Bottle (660 ml). Courtesy of Minderbinder, thanks! Split 3-ways.

>>> A boring and watery stout, but less offensive than expected.
+ Fairly well balanced, but mostly because it’s tasteless
− Super light (watery) body and chalky mouthfeel
− Mild, but weird acidity in the tasty
Flavors: Roasted malts, chalk, cocoa, green peppers, ashes
Bottle big big thanks to Minderbinder. Hazy black pour with thick foamy tan head. Aroma is coffee, light leathery notes, tobacco, smoky. Taste is tart, sour roasty notes. Palate is light bodied, fizzy. Meeeehhh. Beardbeerman (341) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 28, 2014
660ml bottle served at 6 degrees in an imperial pint glass:
Pours a semi dense, opaque black robe showing lots of carbonation and topped by a thin hazel head, letting it seem very cola-like. Retention is minimal and the head quickly fades to a porous layer.
The nose delivers moderate notes of dark roast coffee beans, subtle dark chocolate and hazelnuts and fresh earthy hops.
On the tongue you get a very mild coffee flavour paired with subtle hazelnut sweetness. It almost tastes like coffee liquor only with a light bitter finish. Mouthfeel is clean all the way and also seems a bit sharp.
This is a light Stout with a nice coffee flavour I enjoyed overall. I do enjoy more robust encounters but despite its lightness, this Stout is well balanced. Stephane_Houle (229) - - AUG 19, 2014
Format: 660 ml
Taux d?alcool : 5% sanselmo (5) - - JAN 10, 2014 does not count
Bière avec peu d’effervescence, flat rapidement, pas beaucoup de goût, peu d’amertume, bière occasionnelle correcte Minderbinder (3469) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 12, 2013
Pours black with low beige head. Aroma is of coffee, chocolate. Taste is of roasted malt, cold coffee, nuts, weird acidity. Palate: Light-medium body. Overall: Not good at all. Not gross either.
