This scintillating golden ale boasts a rich, fruity, and fresh aroma. And a light malty and sweet taste. It has a soft bitterness with a friendly aftertaste. A well-balanced blend of complexity and simplicity. La Trappe Blond continues to ferment in the bottle.

berlinoise2go (689) - NORWAY - AUG 27, 2010
Bottle (33cl) from Vinmonopolet, Oslo. BB Sep 2010. Slightly hazy, honey golden colour. Eager head, settling down to a stable film. Aroma of honey, banana, caramel and resin. Medium body, soft carbonation. Feels a bit watery. Good balance between acidity and sweetness. Low bitterness. Lasting sweetish aftertaste.

dreamloomer (66) - Warsaw, POLAND - AUG 18, 2010
Bottle, 5 years ago. Golden-orange, hazy. High and lasting head. Not very strong aroma, with hints of fruits and malt. Quite dry, not very full-bodied. Maltiness, a lot of yeasty, fruity notes, some spices, a bit of bitter orange. Good, but I prefer its stronger brothers.

TheBeerOrg (2145) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 14, 2010
Pours dark golden with a fully receding white head. Notes of pear, banana, caramelized fruit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. More than likely an old bottle, will need to rerate to ensure the poor head retention and weak esters were due to age.

KyotoLefty (10194) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 7, 2010
Draught at Arendsest. Pretty gold-orange color. Lacy. Aroma of honey, citrus, spice. Sweet flavor with honey. Not really spectacular. A rahter average, somewhat boring blonde, but nicely drinkable.

jaghana (6014) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - AUG 1, 2010
Bottle 33cl. A cloudy yellow-orange beer with huge white head. Smell is on yeast (near Duvel one) and floral. Aroma is malty medium sweet, nice hop flavor, finish is a bit bitter. Not bad but low in complexity, easy drinkable.

blipp (9146) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 28, 2010
Bottle. Pours orange amber with a thin head. Fruity phenolic aroma, almost banana like. The flavor has a nice fruity sweetness, with some light spicy notes. Nice.

Lots of carbonation, seemingly killed the head. Pours light golden. Nice bitter bite after the initial peppery and somewhat fruity taste. Good blond.

(Old BA rate - bottle) Not sure exactly where the head was going on this one, but it was moving fast...held barely at first as pure white, but then disappeared rapidly. Lightly murky marigold color. Yeasty and a good deal of sweetness; lots of white grapes in the aroma. Quite sweet in the aroma actually and very fruit driven. Missing out on any hops. Not nearly as sweet in the taste as in the aroma, but still thereabouts. Bit of candied sugar and a very light yeastiness; not very complex and pretty straightforward with the light fruitiness...back to the white grapes, and perhaps a hint of passion fruit. Hops are AWOL, and the MF is very light verging on thin with subdued carbonation, but still syrpupy somehow. Not really great drinking, not as refreshing as hoped and certainly on the sweeter side for the style. Not my favorite from the brewery.

Dal colore oro paglierino, finemente satura e cremosa,ha una schiuma compatta e persistente.Il profumo è molto ricco: aromatica, setosa, acre.Il gusto è ampio, erbaceo di grano e luppolo fresco.

Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2010
Bottle: Pretty small and quick disappearing white foamy head. Color is just a very slightly bit hazy, orange. Smell is a mix of orange, iron, malts and hops. Taste is smooth and refreshing: hops, malts, slight hint of bitter, fruit (orange) and hint of yeast. Very well balanced.
