Bottle. Filtered, then bottled with sugar and yeast.
Ingredients: Water, Barley malt, Hops, Yeast.
This scintillating golden ale boasts a rich, fruity, and fresh aroma. And a light malty and sweet taste. It has a soft bitterness with a friendly aftertaste. A well-balanced blend of complexity and simplicity. La Trappe Blond continues to ferment in the bottle.

Deep orange brown with a small quickly dissipating white head. Malty nose of light and sweet malts. Light effervescence and a nice mellowness in the malt backbone that finishes with slight spice notes. A nice, simple, clean beer that reminds me of Corsendonk Agnus (though I havent had it in a while so that could be offbase)

The aroma is yeasty, which is pretty much it. The flavor is also full of yeast, very boring. It looks like a golden shower.

Light amber, lacing pale head. Nose is mildly hayish hops and sweet fruity w/ little honey and glue. Flavor has little honey, pepper, some apple? Hayish finish with glue and alcohol. Light to medium bodied, even too light for the style. A sad trappist.

Clear amberish coloured beer with small white head and medium carbonation. Fresh fruity malty aroma. Sprankling full palate. Herby malty ending, rather short finish. Not coming close to tripel and quadruppel.

Flaske. Flot orange-gylden l med et hurtigt forsvindende skum. Dejlig frisk karbonering med et lille bid til tungen. Ellers frugtig med en god del sdme som man forventer af Koningshoven, men her er det tilpas. Flot klassisk blond.

330 ml bottle. Pours a deep golden color, slightly cloudy, medium head. Bright, fruity aroma, some banana. Taste is quite sweet, with some hops in the background. Pretty full mouthfeel, medium-heavy carbonation. A touch less sweetness wouldve made the balance better.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2008 0.5l crock (a very cool way of selling beer, more abbey beers should come in crocks for novelty value). Pours with a good head, quite a lot of carbonation. Nice blonde beer with a strong hop-flavour, a little sour but very drinkable. Almost no alcohol taste.
