COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique seasonal product is the world’s only Trappist bock ale. Brewed exclusively with natural ingredients, this ale post-ferments slightly in its bottle. It has a deep red colour, an intensely rich taste, and a malty aroma. Aromatic hop varieties and types of burnt malt render this ale its delicate bitterness that blends surprisingly well with its slightly sweet undertone.

La Trappe Bock has 7% ABV.

vinivini (3075) - Gomel, BELARUS - JUL 2, 2017
Bottle. Misty deep bronze colour with ruby red highlights. Beige creamy rocky head that stays for long. The aroma is formed by rich dark malts and fairly sweet fruit jam. Red currants, plums. Moderately spicy as well. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Medium sweet to medium dry taste. Caramel, toast, toffee, dried fruit, port wine. Hoppy enough on finish. Well balanced. Tasty to say the least.

MarcoBasile (467) - DENMARK - JUN 18, 2017
It pours a deep murky brown body with a creamy beige head that last. Nice lacing.

Aroma is rather mild. Some yeast and some spice. But very light. Malts.

Taste is grainy, slightly peppery, yeast, roasty dark malts. Dry finish.

Light but oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation.

It’s like a mix of lager and a belgian ale.

HourGlass13 (1074) - North Carolina, USA - JUN 12, 2017
Pours dark brown with ruby shades and a tan head. Aroma is fruity with plums, dates, figs, chestnut, earthy hops. Taste follows, lots of caramel, super malty. Soft to medium carbonation, medium body and very sticky mouthfeel.

freekyp (2428) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - JUN 10, 2017
Bold caramel malty aroma is barely held in check by mild peppery hops. Malt bomb territory. Thick syrupy mouthfeel. It’s a caramelly malt bomb, and quite one-dimensional, but very tasty. Pours a murky brown with a slight tan head.
