33 cl bottle.
Pours a hazy mahogany with a foamy and lasting beige head, which laces.
Tart, fruity nose.
Yeasty aroma with dried fruits, caramel, alcohol, bread(crust) and herbs. Syrupy mouthfeel.
Dry and warming, sweetbitter finish escorted by citrusses, alcohol and distintct spices, which leaves a long tart aftertaste behind. Very nice.

Bottle by 10-2014. Sweet nose vaguely of malt, some toffee and light nuts under the faint fruit. Amber-ruby body with lots of carbonation and a foaming tan head. There’s also a Belgian yeast component. Taste is sweet, sickly so with some dark bitterness and more yeast; some Maillard fun here but it’s closer to the plum-and-berry side, with caramel/toffee and earth. Medium body, a touch boozy but not too bad. Overall not very memorable. maeib (8751) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUN 25, 2012
Bottled 16/06/12. A nut brown coloured beer with a big whitish head. Sweet in a Belgian way rather than German bock. lots of candy sugar. Belgian type hopping. A good depth of flavour. Cakey. Really nice. HopfenWeisse (1558) - - JUN 24, 2012

33cl bottle, pours dark caramel/mahogany. Fast rising beige head. Alcohol, sweet candy & biscuit in the nose. Bit phenolic harsh mouthfeel, a hint of smoked & roasted wood. Flavor predominantly sweet. Sticky to harsh aftertaste. Not my cup of tea. Mariusz (12091) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - JUN 11, 2012
Pours a dark caramel brown. Smells of roasted malt and caramel. Tastes of roasted malt, caramel, and molasses with a bitter background. Finish is a balance between bitter and brown sugar. Pretty good. Eructoblaster (4330) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 29, 2012
Bottle - 330ml. Hazy dark brown body with an average off-white foamy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with brown sugar and fruity hints. Taste carries vineous, fruity notes and ends with a moderately warming bittersweet finish. Decent Bockbier. Eirikur (386) - hafnarfjordur, ICELAND - APR 27, 2012
Pours a thick white medium dense head.
Very dark amber.
Aroma is mostly dark chocolate, roasted coffee .. still a bit thin.
Medium sweet, medium bodied, alot of hops along with a thin malt,, rather thin texture, lively carb, finished way too fast for this type of Ale.
I was expecting more .. as I was with the rest of the La Trappe line ... The only La Trape that has really caught me was an old Quatruppel, think it was 4-5 years in the bottle.
Not too bad overall, value is 6/10. olio (10469) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 13, 2012
