COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique seasonal product is the world’s only Trappist bock ale. Brewed exclusively with natural ingredients, this ale post-ferments slightly in its bottle. It has a deep red colour, an intensely rich taste, and a malty aroma. Aromatic hop varieties and types of burnt malt render this ale its delicate bitterness that blends surprisingly well with its slightly sweet undertone.

La Trappe Bock has 7% ABV.

33 cl bottle. Pours a hazy mahogany with a foamy and lasting beige head, which laces. Tart, fruity nose. Yeasty aroma with dried fruits, caramel, alcohol, bread(crust) and herbs. Syrupy mouthfeel. Dry and warming, sweetbitter finish escorted by citrusses, alcohol and distintct spices, which leaves a long tart aftertaste behind. Very nice.

3. 12. 2017, Ljubljana. Bottled. Aroma a bit held back, but swirling the snifter did the trick and opened it up a bit. Dark amber/brown colour with off-white head, good retention. Taste is Belgian yeasty, a bit of wood, more to the sweet side, almost no bitterness, yeasty flavour. Mouthfeel is med bodied, creamy texture. OK, but nothing extra.
