"Discover this genuine dark Trappist beer with a gentle flavour, creamy head and pronounced bouquet.
La Trappe Dubbel has a deep brown colour and attractive beige froth. The use of caramel malt gives it a gentle aromatic caramelised quality. It has a rich malty flavour with a touch of sweetness. Post-fermenting La Trappe Dubbel is a smooth drink, and yet has some real body and intense flavour to it.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2018 Przyjemny zapach, słodki, rodzynkowy. Wygląd poprawny, ciemnobrązowy. W smaku lekki zawód, piwo mocno wodniste, raczej słodkie i jednowymiarowe.

Chimay Red. Ogólnie bardzo dobry dubbel, satysfakcjonujący, ciekawy i pijalny.

Chestnut color, clear, rich head. Yesty, spicy, red and dried fruits, high carbonation, no trace of alcohol. Classic.

Malty, sweet caramel aromas; I felt the sweetness in the flavours was a bit too much and would have preferred the malts to assert themselves more but still a very enjoyable dubbel.

Sampled on draught at the Queen Hotel in the centre of Eindhoven. Ruby red with a hint of brown and a beige head. Pleasant spice and fruit aromas. The taste is complex - wood, cherries, banana, a little bit of chocolate, and a gentle bitterness. Really delicious and highly drinkable. Might have to have another...

On tap at Cafe Gollem, Amsterdam on 16th March 2018. Cherry red with off-white vanishing foam and no lacing. Tart berry fruits and spices in aroma. Earthy pungency and berry fruits in-mouth, and a sweet fruity finish with caramel maltiness. Full bodied with an engaging texture.

Bottle from Pezinská pivná pumpa Classic dubbel, nice and yeasty, quite high carbonation doesn't really help enjoying it. But it is nice memory for Brugge.
