"Discover this genuine dark Trappist beer with a gentle flavour, creamy head and pronounced bouquet.
La Trappe Dubbel has a deep brown colour and attractive beige froth. The use of caramel malt gives it a gentle aromatic caramelised quality. It has a rich malty flavour with a touch of sweetness. Post-fermenting La Trappe Dubbel is a smooth drink, and yet has some real body and intense flavour to it.

La Trappe Koningshoeven dubbel trappist - bbd = 14/05/2000 Incredibly tasty, a bit dull however. But so much flavour for a 19 year old beer.

Bottle 330ml. Deep mahogany red-brown. Beige fluffy head. Rich aroma of sweet pears and plums. Taste is sweet with sugary notes, more of those pears and some light hint of vanilla. There is also a slightly sour metallic note which lowers my grade one notch.

Dark amber color with beige head. Aroma has brown sugar, red wine and some raisins. Taste starts with toasted malt, some caramelized sugar, dried fruit esters and some earthy hop bitterness on the finish which balances out the flavors quite well. Medium body with medium to high carbonation. A well made, drinkable dubbel with balanced flavors.

Ale estilo de abadia doble. Color marrón rojizo. Abundante espuma gris claro que desaparece rapidamente. Gusto agradable y dulzón. Malta, caramelo, frutas (cerezas?). Cuerpo medio, no se nota mucho el alcohol. Agradable retrogusto. Un poco mas dulce que la grimbergen dubble.
