(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, ruby amber colour with loads of floaties and a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Slightly syrupy and toasted malty aroma with notes of dark and red berries and caramel. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Robust, mildly toasted malt-character with notes of caramel and slightly vinous fruity accents, as well as slightly spicy phenols in the background; rounded, mildly sweet and delicately bitter finish. Not bad. 29.VII.15

Faathoven (104) - Barcellona P.G., ITALY - JAN 6, 2017
Pours brownish with tan head. Aroma of dark fruits and yeast, some spices and mild hops. Flavour is just the same with some caramel and a metallic note in the end. Quite earthy finish. Medium carbonation and body. I expected something more. Not that bad anyway.

espenra (1015) - Kurland, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2016
75cl bottle at Delirium Monasterium. It poured a dark red, brownish amber colour with a very small white head. Aroma is sweet with notes of malts, ripe red fruits, toffee, some bread and belgian yeast. Flavour is smooth, yet a bit thin. More nutty than malty, but still keeping the fruity notes. Also notes of white bread. Short aftertaste.

Amber with white head. Nose caramel. Taste sweet fruity yeast. Short sweet finish. A bit disappointing.

EdKing (2576) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 20, 2016
Bottle from Delices & Caprices, Brussels. Very nice ruby red brownish beer, clear with a medium head which thins to nothing. Nose is malty, barley grains, barley sugar, bread, aged wood, sweet, doughy, little earthy, caramel, cereal chaff. Taste is caramel, barley sugar, doughy bread, nutty, toasty. It’s a Belgian ale, but bit like an English ale. Little familiar at first, as an English drinker, but grows on the palate.

3.5
Inoven (712) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAR 27, 2016
Fles gedronken met familie (tht 2013). Robijnrood helder bier met weinig schuim. Weinig aroma. Licht sprankelend en fruitig in de mond. Enigszins houtig in de nasmaak.
