Terrific dry, bitter, herbal-hoppy quaffer. Hazy pale straw color, sturdy foam. Herbal-lemony-floral hop nose, with a bit of wet grain and pepper. Nice firm herbal-spicy bitterness, light lemony acidic tang, finishing dry. Might be one to convert pils drinkers, but it’s better than that. More Dupont-ish than most Belgian-brewed saisons.

Third of a litre at the Celle Beer Festival. A: Very pale, hazy. S: Starch and Belgian style phenols. T: Phenols and berries. M: Medium body, slightly prickly. O: A thinned out version of a Belgian Pale Ale, almost a session beer.

Appearance - very clear, light yellow with a nice foamy white head. Aroma & Taste - good light, malty base with some nice heavy bittering (without being overpowering), and with a floral, green hoppiness and maybe a hint of fresh granny smith apple. Palate - nice and light without being watery. Nice and fizzy without being like sodas. Perfect for the style. Overall - I find this the perfect pils. A gloriously refreshing, summery, light lawnmower beer that’s better than any lagers I know.

Couleur dorée, légère mousse. Nez houblonné frais avec note citronnée. Gout houblonné frais avec malt doux et citronné. Bonne pétillance. Fin un peu genre pils. Simple et agréable

BeerViking (4699) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 25, 2017
Bottle from the abbey shop. Pours pale golden with almost no head. Nose is light Belgian fruity-spicy yeast plus a hint of candy sugar. Body is that same Belgian note laid over an otherwise fairly average Helles/golden lager.

Glaasje gedronken in het proeflokaal met Benzai en TomHendriksen. Goudgeel iets troebel bier met stevig schuim. Aroma van gist en mout. Smaak is hoppig. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

Geproefd in het proeflokaal van La Trappe met Inoven. Het is een lekker fris licht hoppig bier. Troebel geel van kleur. Een heerlijk verfrissend bier voor in ’t zonnetje.
