OminouSC2 (1085) - Mora, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2017Unclear brown color, no head. Sweet aromas of dried figs, raisins, candy sugar, oak, vanilla, prunes, cognac, alcohol and slight honey. Sweet taste with dried figs, oak, alcohol, vanilla, cognac, toffee and slight spices. A bit thin. Might be due to the lack of carbonation, probably beacuse of the age. Reminds me of a sweet, barrel aged barley wine.
Något vattnig känsla i slutet
CraftBeerNick (3218) - London Town, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2017Bottle at home, 1st January 17. Pours copper coloured. Aroma is sherry, liquor, barrel. Taste is sherry, liquor, heat, barrel, dark fruit. Not the best in the series.
Countbeer (6590) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2016Pfff... Get a bit tired of this vertical.
They are not that old yet they all turn out to be prune juice.
Some have just a tiny bit more barrel aged tones than others, but overall it’s all in the same street...
Plastic cork doesnt age the beers well...
This one has a little vanilla in the nose.
The flavour is quite the same as the precious plastic cork batches...
Color and attitude in the glass is the same as are mouthfeel, carbo and body...
What a shame Koningshoeven!

Borresteijn (7737) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 30, 201537.5cl Bottle, thanks Cees! Murky amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of toffee, oak, almost buttery, La Trappe candy, sherry. Flavour is sweet, malty, toffee, yeasty, fruity, light spicy, candy, wood. Full bodied. 12 was so much better.
RW80 (2978) - Hoogeveen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 20, 201537,5 cl bottle shared
Appearance: Murky brown, with hardly a head.
Aroma: Spices, cherry wood, oak, vanilla, port.
Taste: Sweet, Port and wood and a lot of wood tones with some dark fruits.Problem is it’s a bit too sweet, causing a dominance over the further complex palate. First sip is really amazing, but the problem is that the sweetness overpowers a lot of it’s complexity in a bad way. .
medium-full body, light syrupy texture, soft carbonation.
