COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
’Late burgundy vaten’ 91% Nieuw eiken (high toast) 4,5% Nieuw accasia (medium toast) 4,5%

Bottle 375ml. corked.

[ As La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch #13 ].
[ Trade by Benzai ]. Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, oak - wood, fruity, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, dried fruit, oak, malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. IMO: Quit simple and not as smooth and easy going as f.ex the #12 .. [20140405]

Very hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Light and sweetish malts. A little vanilla oak. Bubblegum esters - slightly spicy. Trace of Port wine and Dessert wine and even a little Sherry. Mild spice before a light dry finish. Tasty if a tad dry.
