Oak Aged Quadrupel Batch #15 85% Oloroso 15% New Oak Aged for two years on Oloroso Sherr barrels.

Murky brown color with beige head. Aroma of alcohol, vanilla, honey and wood. Flavor is intense and warming. Tones of sweet fruit and also something sour.

375ml bottle. Pours dark brown colour. No head. Dark fruits, botes of smoke, plums, vanilla, caramel in the aroma. Caramel, dark fruits, toffee in the taste. Toffee and some alcochol in the aftertaste. Quite sweet brew. Low carbonated, quite heavy bodied brew. Too sweet for me.

Quadrupel Oak Aged Batch # 15 85% 15% Oloroso New Oak Aged for two years on Oloroso Sherr barrels. This Quadrupel Oak Aged is a long time (2 years) aged in barriques of Oloroso sherry. The specific taste of this is very familiar, besides vanilla, almond blossom honey and caramel. The smell of this beer is also very complex. The taste is rich, ripe and firm. Yet she remains soft and creamy, and this batch is perhaps the softest hitherto appeared. The taste buds are not only affected by the "walnut-like ’Oloroso. With a few sourness of the sherry, the alcohol feels warm. The oak barriques, the bitterness of the Quadruple slightly tempered and do maintain. Influences Oloroso This Oak Aged is less carbonated, but this makes just enough sparkle and gives besides the rich taste fuller mouth feel

Clear deep red - amber beer, bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth and sweetish malts, mild caramel. Light spice and spicy esters. Nicely integrated sherry provides the backbone of the flavour. A little dried fruits and mild wood. Light dry spicy finish. The sherry becomes more intense as the beer approaches room temperature. Nice.

Bottle at tasting. Brown color. Great aroma of vanilla, red fruit and malt. Rich smooth taste of red fruit, oak, malt, vanilla, ripe fruit and a vinous boozyness. Fantastic dessert beer.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2016 Bottle 375ml (batch 15 – 2013) - cellared for 3 years. Served at cellar temperature. Pours a hazy copper. Head is small, off white and quickly dissipates. Aroma is of fortified wine (ruby port) with cherries, dates, raisin bread, caramel, candi sugar, Belgian chocolate, cloves, oak and hints of glazed oranges. Flavour is very smooth with virtually no bitterness; rum, port, tobacco, cedar, raisin bread, prunes, candi sugar, cloves and a touch of Belgian chocolate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation, slightly thin texture and good length finish.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Hazy amber brown body. No head. Aromas of wash detergent, prunes, rice, malts and some hints of strange wood. Flavours of prunes, marzipan, bitters, malts, light liquor, very meh... Aftertaste is prune, earthy malts, light dirty... Pfff Low to no carbo, medium bodied and a light watery mouthfeel. Another failure.

Marduk (7936) - Reval, ESTONIA - MAR 15, 2016
375ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Hazy chestnut color. Thin white head, stays (as strange as it might sound). Sweet, malty, plums, jammy and apple in aroma. Sweet, malty, some jamminess, apples, plums in taste. Sweet way too sweet. Plums and oak are nice. But raw.
