Clear amber beer, small aery irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of alcohol, cognac, banana peel, caramel, sweetish, more alcohol, nice. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, malty, pretty oxidized, malty, honey. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, sugary, caramel, some alcohol.
Bottle. Pours hazy bronze colour. Small fizzy head. Aroma: big oak barrel, vanilla, fruit esters, caramel. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Taste: rich malts, oak, vanilla, cherry, candy. Light bitterness. Not sure if barrel aging really benefits quads. jerohen (2380) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - OCT 6, 2017
Bottled from HetBierMoment.nl. Brown colored, particles floating around, small beige head. Beautiful and powerful nose, original Quadrupel with lots of oak, vanilla, nutty, fruity, more grapes than Kirsch. Velvety mouthfeel, complex flavor, Quadrupel, vanilla, lots of oak, alcohol. I wouldn't have guessed Kirsch-schnapps, it tastes more like oak aged white wine. Another great Oak Aged Quadrupel. 77ships (11619) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 28, 2017
Thank you for sharing Benzai! 375 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG17. Dark amber orange, little tanned head. Standard La Trappe OA appearance, taste is familiar grounds, oily sweet wine sugar, malt, oak, thick La Trappe oak, malt, sweet, caramel, toffee. Taste is sweet La Trappe OA cereal, sugar, caramel, malt candy, dark banana, sweet, candy. Thick caramel LA Trappe OA body. Another very lovely edition, honestly I did not pick up on the Kirsch-schnapps, could have been just as well pure oak for me I think.

Sweet buttery bananaey malty aroma, some cherry fruitiness. Full smooth palate. Sweet woody taste that gets oakier wih every sip. Love that finish, but the sweet booze bomb that dropped it left quite a mushroom cloud.
375ml bottle shared by Phil, thanks! Murky dark amber beer, medium to small off-white head. Nose is cherries, booze and oak, malty sweetness. Flavor is barrely, boozy, sweet and malty, cherries and red fruit. Slightly solventy. adamnowek (3618) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 26, 2017
