Smooth and fresh woody brew. Round, wood, malt. Not too sweetish or intense, the wood is round, fresh and in the background. Smooth and fresh, not too intense, nice though.

Zlotta (4517) - Hagen, GERMANY - DEC 10, 2016
Sampled from 0.375 l bottle. Clear, dark brownish amber with a beige head. Sweetish-malty aroma of vanilla, honey and some oak. Rather sweet, malty and slightly fruity taste of caramel, vanilla, raisins and some oak, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately warming finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Countbeer (6590) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - MAY 1, 2016
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Almost clear dark amber body with a creamy lacing on top. Vinous tones with iron, prunes, light vanilla, some flowers and white pepper. The flavour is subtle, yet peppery with a light alcohol touch. Lot of wood, some prunes, light bitter, and some toasted grainy darker bread... Aftertaste is pencil scrape, vinous, prunes and wood... Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, more than medium bodied.

vipinvelp (4669) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - APR 20, 2016
Clear copper, some small particals floating, short lasting off-white foam head. Complex aroma and taste, oak, vanilla, overripe fruits, but in all a very nice beer. LIke it a lot. (Antwerpen 201604)

22/XII/15 - 37.5cl bottle from Geers, Hopduvel or the monastery shop @ Tim’s Amazing La Trappe Oak Aged Series Batch 2 Through 13 Tasting - BB: n/a, blended: 5/XI/2010 (2015-1756)

Note: after hoarding the oldest of these beers for over 5 years, I decided to crack down on them, before they disintegrate.
Clear dark amber beer, small creamy beige to yellow irregular head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, bit oxidized, caramel, honey, spicy touch. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of banana, sweet, very much alcohol, some vanilla. Aftertaste: sweet, caramel, more banana, bit sugary, oxidized, still banana.

Wixie (732) - BELGIUM - JAN 10, 2016
Clear red liquid. Very small head. Aroma is sweet. Heavy body, little bit carbonation. Taste is sweet, rich.

Gerbeer (4354) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 21, 2015
375 ml bottle. Pours a beautiful deep copper color with light to moderate head. Aromas of candied fruit/oranges, baked apples, light oak, and light toasted malts. Flavors of dried fruit (almost like trail mix), light oak, sweet wine and still a bit of doughy malts. Surprisingly light in body. Excellent though likely not going to get better with additional aging.
