Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Very sweet oaky aroma with some overripe fruit. Rich body, again very sweet oak and vanilla with almost rotten fruit - noble rot, friendly phenols. Fat and creamy with quite some warming alcohol. Poors dark amber with little creamy head. Unfiltered.
Aroma white wine, oak, yeast, some malts, caramel.
Taste is sweet, some bitter, you can taste hints if white wine.
Mouth-feel thin, dry.
Amazing complex taste and aroma.

Hazy amber color. Boozy, caramelly oak aroma. Sweetish caramel flavor, with quite nice oak presence. Low bitterness, some boozyness.
Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Wonderfull red-amber colour. Moderate malty and hopy aroma. Barrels very present but not that well balanced. Bottled. Pours clear, amber with a medium sized, off-white lasting head with fair lacing. Nose of fruit, caramel and yeaty notes. Sweet flavor of apples, grapes, oranges, caramel and vanilla notes. Medium to full bodied, oilt texture and soft carbonation. Ends up more dry with an alcohol touch. Very similar to # 2.

375 ml bottle @ Kulminator // split between me & Man-ki// tasted along with batches # 3 & # 4 // from a tiny La Trappe tasting glass // 2011 Vintage // touch darker ruby amber than nr. 3 & 4, clear, head is interesting enough snow white as opposed to #3, #4 & Quercus #2 // sweet on the nose syrupy, hint of liquorish, plenty of dark fruits in this one, touch bitter // sweet syrupy, dark fruits going more towards dry & some canned ones as well, winter spices in the finish, toffee, vanilla, small touch wood, touch bitterness in the finish, that one is new, the wine?, otherwise not picking up distinct white wine or at least not what I would expect white wine to do // smooth, touch syrupy, carb. going closer to soft, out of the 3 prefered #3 & #4 but this is nice as well, grown accustomed to these kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 4, 2012

Bottle at Fermentoren. Pours a hazy brown with an offwhite head. Smells of caramel, brown sugar, white wine, spices. Tastes of a heavy sweetness, mild tart, some acidity, mild bitter. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, syrupy texture. The initial taste was much stronger on the white wine, esp compared to the dregs of #4 I had just finished. Mouthfeel is still quite white wine.
