UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 12 cl tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam 12/09/2011. Pours hazy, burnished copper with a medium, slightly yellowish-brown head. Aroma is white winely acidic, white currant, oak, sherry-like. Taste is raisin, prune, reminiscent of sherry or port wine, sweet. Alcohol comes through a bit as a warming sensation. Palate is full and a bit sticky. Very nice. kschep (1707) - DENMARK - APR 13, 2012

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Very sweet oaky aroma with some overripe fruit. Rich body, again very sweet oak and vanilla with almost rotten fruit - noble rot, friendly phenols. Fat and creamy with quite some warming alcohol. Probably the best Oak Aged La Trappe! 150812 jmgreenuk (9872) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 3, 2014
Tap at the Brouwcafe, Scheveningen. Poured a dark amber with a thin white broken head. The aroma is caramel, vinous oak. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth creamy toffee caramel vinous palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. A super beer. One of the best La Trappe Quads I’ve had. yngwie (17185) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 20, 2011
Bottle, 375ml corked. It pours an unclear, brown body and a dense, beige head. Vinous nose with lots of dried fruits and sugar, quite alcoholic too, in a nice way. Some oak hints. Wonderful flavor with a good warmth and a healthy dose of dried fruits. Sugar notes. Full-bodied, warming and sweet. Lasting warming finish with sugar, dried fruits and a fine bitterness. 110820 Ontbeertaster (2362) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 10, 2011
