38cl, Batch 6, on new oak and used (White Wine) barrels, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2011, thx to Secret Santa!, complex brew, malty/sweet and slightly woody/vinous, yet not too heavy, balanced, cloudy, nearly no head, good Trappist, ’Thanks alot to Secret Santa for providing me the last missing puzzle!’ Ibrew2or3 (8913) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 1, 2012
37.5cl bottle pours murky brown with amber edges and thin tan head. The aroma delivers dark fruity esters like raisins and prunes as well as some molasses, a touch of caramel and then a mild oak to vanilla to boozy heat sort of sensation is noticed at the end of the pull. The taste is rich with robust notes of brown sugar coated prunes and raisins. It quickly picks up additional notes of sweet vanilla, molasses, a touch of oak wood as well as some oak spiciness. Nice quad. 77ships (11482) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - AUG 25, 2012
Another one of these yummy concoctions // 375 ml. bottle split by 3 @ Kulminator // 2011 bottle // bright copper, tad brown, darker than usual & def much more touch of white head than usual // smells of very sweet caramel, toffee, sugar on this appears to be exotic, I am almost getting exotic fruits here, touch booze, very sweet wine, others get rice pudding. I sort of get that, especially the spices they use in that // taste is similar sweet caramel, toffee, exotic fruits, rice pudding, very sweet wine, small touch of wood, rice pudding spices, exotic sugar // slick, smooth // delicious as usual LordTde (1) - - JUL 11, 2012 does not count
Good taste, just strong enough. Nice glass, but take care when drinking... A must drink.
