Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, wood, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, wood, over ripe fruits, and a bit of alcohol, leading to a dry, woody, and alcoholic finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy deep amber with a small off-white head. Sweet oaky aroma, almost bourbony. Rich body, hardly any carbonation, a little sweet caramel and again heavy oak. Some alcohol comes through. This is quite delicious, lots of oak and not overly sticky sweet. 080512 kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 21, 2012
Bottle shared at Arendsnest. Mostly clear brown pour with off white head. Aroma of banana, caramel, oak and alcohol. Sweet woody flavour with caramel, vanilla and light fruit notes. Low carbonation and medium bodied. Alcohol noticeable in the finish.

37,5 cl bottle, pours dark brown with a minor head, aroma of malt caramel, brown sugar, oak, diacetyl, dark fruits and hint of booze, taste is similar to the aroma, fairly light drinkable but definitly a sipper, very enjoyable overall. Indra (2711) - Suburbia, Kansas, USA - APR 2, 2012
375ml bottle, has been cellared since release. Aroma of sweet, dried fruit (apricot, golden raisin) and oak, with touches of white wine, light brown sugar, spicy, doughy, estery yeast, clove, pineapple and light but apparent alcohol. Deep, dark amber-brown in color, hazy and lightly sedimented (I made an effort to leave the dregs in the bottle this time), with a fine, lasting, uneven head. Flavor profile is similarly full of oak, lightly sugary sweetness and tropical fruit with winey touches here and there, peppery alcohol and a certain candyish, praline tone in the background. Finish shows some Calvados character(?). Hefty, smooth and lightly warming on the palate, body is full enough. I certainly decided to splurge a bit on this stuff and I enjoyed it. Bottle with Ann. Poured a murky plum color with small head and great sticky lacing. Aromas of dark fruit, caramel, oak, bready, and malt. Taste is layered smooth warming flavors of plum, fig, cherry, oak, and sweet candy sugar. Awesome. Aml42000 (622) - Washington, USA - MAR 8, 2012
Wow- just wow. Cloudy mahogany with a disappaiting white head. The oak is in front on both the nose and palate, playing brilliantly off the caramel malts, and spice cabinet in the mouth. Long, woody finish.
