Bottled. A murky red-brown beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of caramel, alcohol, wood, and wine. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, wood, caramel, and wine, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing. joergen (27984) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 16, 2012

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy amber with a creamy off-white head. Heavy phenols in the nose combined with a harsh woodiness. Rich body, lowish carbonation, heavy caramels and again this rather rough barrel character. Some warming alcohol in the finish. 130612

Hazy dark amber - brown beer. Tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is softish and slightly dry. Mildly fine carbonation. Soft oak with a little vanilla. Mellow sweet bubblegum. Touch of sweet wine. Finishes smooth and semi dry. All the flavours are well balanced and come together very well. One of the better in this series. Drinks well below it’s abv.
Bottle, 375ml corked. A rather flat one, no head, and with a more or less clear, dark brown body. Some caramel in the aroma, with hints of oak, as well as alcohol, dried fruits and some vinous hints. A faint hint of chocolate and vanilla. The flavor has a nice sweetness, with dried fruits, caramel, alcohol and some choclate and vanilla. Full body, warming and soft on the palate. Lasting finish with caramel, some vanilla and quite a lot of vinous notes. Chocolate too. A quite pleasant one, but lacks a bit. 130510 Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, DENMARK - SEP 7, 2012
