La Trappe Tripel’s aroma is slightly malty and estery. Despite its full, rich flavour, this out-of-the-ordinary ale still has a light and dry aftertaste with a touch of bitter finesse.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast. 17.5°

Nice color, but head didn’t pour very thick and faded fast. Aroma is strong, caramel and butterscotch. Taste is a bit mellower, but on target for the style. A pretty good tripel.

amsandor (1) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2017 does not count
A sweet tasting beer with a wonderful colour. Hints of fruit, and a strong dough flavour on the tongue and nose. Has a bitter, almost soapy aftertaste. A much lighter taste than the 8% implies. An easy drinking beer. Certainly not the best beer I have ever tasted, but an enjoyably light taste with a heavy alcohol content makes this a great lounge / patio beer. Pairs well with cheeses and meats, and a nice medium / light bodied cigar.

Opaque, golden, low head. Yeasty, grainy aroma. Flavor also includes fruity notes and some alcoholic taste. Good classic Tripel.

Bevuta alla spina. Colore giallo tendente all'arancione, aroma leggermente fruttato. Sapore tipico di una buona tripel belga, mi aspettavo tuttavia qualcosina in più essendo una birra trappista. Nonostante la gradazione del 8% risulta una birra leggera da bere.

Clouded golden orange with bug effervescent white head. Fruity esters, some light spice, dough on the nose and palate. Lighter in body than 8% implies, with a fruity slightly bitter dry finish as advertised.

Dorada algo turbia, con una ligera capa de espuma, presenta un dulzor considerable que se torna algo seco al final. Sabor algo de platano y maltas. Buena triple

Best by November 2018. Pours cloudy orange, nice head of foam, good lacing. In my LT chalice. Smells malty, of brown sugar, Belgian yeast and spices, slight hop bitterness. Tastes of caramel, candi sugar, esters, light perceived bitterness. Very very light oxidation. Medium body with exuberant carbonation; all the La Trappe beers open with nay a hiss yet the carbonation always turns out to be lively.?? Nice Tripel.
