Bottle conditioned.
La Trappe Tripel’s aroma is slightly malty and estery. Despite its full, rich flavour, this out-of-the-ordinary ale still has a light and dry aftertaste with a touch of bitter finesse.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast. 17.5°

Nice flavor, more carbonation than the Quad, perhaps even more fruit in the flavor, but definately the same smoothness. I think I am growing fonder of Trapist Ales . . .

amsandor (2) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2017 does not count
A sweet tasting beer with a wonderful colour. Hints of fruit, and a strong dough flavour on the tongue and nose. Has a bitter, almost soapy aftertaste. A much lighter taste than the 8% implies. An easy drinking beer. Certainly not the best beer I have ever tasted, but an enjoyably light taste with a heavy alcohol content makes this a great lounge / patio beer. Pairs well with cheeses and meats, and a nice medium / light bodied cigar.

Piepenhenrich (1255) - Steinbach, GERMANY - NOV 18, 2017
Opaque, golden, low head. Yeasty, grainy aroma. Flavor also includes fruity notes and some alcoholic taste. Good classic Tripel.

defabant (35) - ITALY - NOV 17, 2017
Bevuta alla spina. Colore giallo tendente all'arancione, aroma leggermente fruttato. Sapore tipico di una buona tripel belga, mi aspettavo tuttavia qualcosina in più essendo una birra trappista. Nonostante la gradazione del 8% risulta una birra leggera da bere.

3.8
slowrunner77 (13006) - Reno, Nevada, USA - NOV 8, 2017
Clouded golden orange with bug effervescent white head. Fruity esters, some light spice, dough on the nose and palate. Lighter in body than 8% implies, with a fruity slightly bitter dry finish as advertised.

3.5
OminouSC2 (931) - Mora, SWEDEN - NOV 7, 2017
Orange color, medium sized white head. Sweet aromas of peaches, oranges, dried fruit and candy sugar. Sweet taste with candy sugar, peaches, dried fruit and slight alcohol.

Aus der Flasche am 2016-05 getrunken. Ein klassiisches Abbey Tripel - Wirklich nett!
