La Trappe Tripels aroma is slightly malty and estery. Despite its full, rich flavour, this out-of-the-ordinary ale still has a light and dry aftertaste with a touch of bitter finesse.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast. 17.5

25.4 oz bottle. Hazy brown with a snowy white head. Nose is apricot, peach, yeast and candi with hints of banana and clove. Medium body, slightly syrupy with a tingle finishing dry. Taste is over ripe peach and plum, plastic and paper. Lingering bitter grass and stale bubblegum.

Unsurprising, in a good way. You should know what to expect just by reading the label: La Trappe Tripel is the absolute blueprint for any good tripel beer. Strong taste despite a rather "low" alcohol level for a Tripel in my opinion that doesnt affect the result in any way. Theres thousands of clones available, but few are as well balanced than this one. Lovely. APPROVED BY TAVERNYS BLACK METAL CREW!

Light aroma, fruity. White foam, not lasting. Taste is sour, light sweet, bitterness at aftertaste. Well balanced. Overall good tripel, but a bit too sour. Westmalle tripel is slightly better than this.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2017 Classic blonde Tripel with a bitter taste compared to Chimay Blanche or Westmalle Tripel. Rather fruity, but not sweet. Aftertaste is intense and slightly bitter. Carbonation is between medium and low. One of my favorite Tripel beers. 300 ml bottle from Albert Heijn supermarket in Antwerp.

Bottle 330 ml, Bistro GUXT in Bucharest. This beer is a little different than a standard tripel in color, aroma & taste. Color is dark golden, cloudy without any visible sediment. The head is small and not persistent. No lacing at all. Aroma is very fruity (peaches, bananas, apricots, orange peel) with hints of caramel and honey, herbs, biscuits and bread. Some spices too, coriander, cloves and maybe black pepper. Very light hints of alcohol. Taste begins fruity-sweet, with moderate bitterness, and a spicy finish. Long and intense aftertaste, medium carbonation, nice body. A tasty, well balanced beer with a very well integrated alcohol, really nice. Not my favorite tripel, but I like it a lot.

Geproefd met Inoven bij het proeflokaal van La Trappe. Het is een heerlijke tripel, het elftal een lekker zoete licht bittere smaak.

Pours light amber with white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, honey and bready. Flavour quite the same, some peach, caramel, yeast and a metallic note, the same that I found in several La Trappe unfortunately. Medium body and carbonation. Average triple, there are definitely a whole lot better triples out there.
