La Trappe Tripel’s aroma is slightly malty and estery. Despite its full, rich flavour, this out-of-the-ordinary ale still has a light and dry aftertaste with a touch of bitter finesse.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops; Yeast. 17.5°

750 mL bottle from the LCBO (zomg trappist beer at LCBO). Malty, for a triple, which makes it a bit more refreshing than others in this style.

A bottle at the Cafe Bastille. Aroma: citrus fruits, some pineapple. Appearance: opaque honey-coloured, minimal head. Palate: full-bodied and thick, lively carbonation. Long and complex, predominantly bitter finish, though sweet. Taste: heavily bitter and fruity, well balanced. Some banana at the finish. Great beer.
