Glass of the month Winking Lizard Pennisula Ohio. Not much aroma and thin yellow in color. Taste wonderful with the wheat accent. Taste a little bit of banana Medium mouthful. Banana lingers on palate. Very nice beer. Could drink quite a bit of this in the summer setting . Jabic (588) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - MAY 18, 2017
Ar: Juicy fruit, cotton candy, and fresh, doughy malt; peach and candied orange; just a hint of clove and black pepper. Ap: Cloudy golden yellow; large white head, fluffy and with great retention, leaving a thick cap of airy foam. T: Peach and orange up front; lemon, light malt, and a bit of juicy fruit; low sweetness, low bitterness, and a very slight herbal hop flavor; finish is peach skins and orange peel. P: Medium-light body with very high carbonation; finish is dry. O: A wit with a great appearance and wonderful nose; the flavors are nice--fruity, tropical, and slightly spicy--though they don’t quite deliver on the promise of the juicy, bright nose. citrus hops, leaves yeast, pale color, rocky and white head, light bitter, light body, thin feel, lively, bitter finish, jrodooo5 (1672) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - MAY 12, 2017
Average aroma & pour turns into a surprisingly tasty & delightfully clean offering! Pours hazy gold w/ a thin white head & little lacing. The aroma contians bread & citrus notes. The taste is very soft & drinkable. The flavor is quite light as w/ most of the style but it’s nicely balanced & all around a good brew! beerstar88 (587) - Bavaria, GERMANY - MAY 10, 2017

Geproefd in het proeflokaal van La Trappe met LiekevdV. Het is een erg lekkere frisse Trappist, troebel lichtgeel. Met heerlijke citrus tonen. teddybearontap (17) - - APR 21, 2017
Appearance - golden yellow color with nice foamy white head. This is a beer that if you were to see it on a summer’s day, you’d just absolutely want to chug it immediately.
Aroma & Taste - they say it tastes citrussy, but I actually found it less citrussy in the sense that it’s not really sour like lemons or apples or oranges, nor is it dry like white wines. Rather, this witbier has isolated that crispness or freshness from the wheat reaaaally well. A nice, sunny, green, grassy-hoppy, wheaty freshness with a gorgeous bread-doughy yeastiness (in contrast to the banana-y belgian yeast that one might expect after having tasted some of La Trappe’s other more well-known beers).
Palate - nice and drinkable without being watery. Perfectly fizzy as well (this is definitely not a soda).
Overall - Very refreshing, and way better than a lot of the other witbieren and weizen that I’ve tried simply due to the fact that has more body, that it has a more grassy, bready yeast quality to it complimenting the wheaty freshness really well. Possibly my favorite witbier to date. This tastes like the wheat harvest in a bottle.
