Got this 75cl bottle from Belgian Beer Station.
La Trouffette is a series of very typical beers from Brasserie de Bastogne.
La Trouffette Brune pours a very clear and very beautiful red brown beer topped with a fizzy, moderate and beige head. It leaves little lacing on the glass and it reduces quickly to a thin layer. Very fine carbonation.
The smell very malty with touches of spices and fruits.
The taste is complex, malty with hop bitterness. The aftertaste is bitter and fairly dry. Minty effect. Sweet touch and a clear alcohol presence.
Overall a nice beer. It has less character than the other Trouffette beers. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 10, 2011
(750ml bottle best by August 11 thanks to bu11zeye) amber/caramel colored pour with a tan ring of fine bubbles. Nose of caramel, bit of honey, dry grain, mild richness. Taste is a bit vinous, unsweet grain, tine of alcohol, lightly tart and linger of caramel. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 5, 2011
