Jolie !

Bottled. A hazy yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of wheat and lemons. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, dusty hops, lemons, and coriander, leading to a dry finish.

Nice mix of Belgian yeasts and American hops. Dry and bitter. Hazy yellow. Small white head, lot of lacing.

Bottle from Chez Alain Cave a Bieres, Rennes, Brittany, France. Hazy yellow-white coloured with spicy lemon and tart citrus flavours, creamy vanilla and wheat notes with spicy, creamy, slight sour fruity finish. An excellent Saison?

Bottle (330 ml). Hazy golden/orange with a medium weird bubbly (big bubbles) white head and little to no lacing. Aroma is really enticing for a Witbier... there’s the usual suspects like spices and citrus, but there’s also a nice hoppy presence that doesn’t denature the beer as well as a lovely floral and fruity presence. Taste is also nicely spiced with some citrus, floral notes, subtle but interesting fruitiness and wheat. Medium body. Moderate carbonation (a lot of small bubbles though). Slightly dry finish. This is a wonderful intererpretation of a Witbier. On style, but incorporating some elements from an IPA. Super tasty, drinkable and quenching. I would buy a ton of this if it was available in Québec. This is my third beer from Vallée du Giffre and, up to now, I have been really impressed. This is now my top rated Witbier. Vallée du Giffre could very well be my favorite French brewery and they definitely make some world-class products.

I am not a big fan of Belgian whites. Usually too spiced and too boring. This though has a great aroma with citrus from both the wheat as well as hops. Herbal a bit too and very well developed. The yeast did its work excellently here, certianly no rush job. Smooth and very tasty bitterness, with the wheat making it very drinkable still. Almost white IPA but lower on abv. Very sessionable and very tasty. Impressed again by this brewer, especially for this style! From the top of my head, this is my favourite witbier ever. (33cl bottle from La Cave a Bulles)
