Originally rated October 2006. Sampled at the pub itself, in Jonquière, Quebec. Poured a clear orange-gold colour. Nice pleasant Belgian white yeast aroma with some spices, green apples and pears. Reminds me of a milder Unibroue Maudite. No burn here, very smooth, full-bodied and sparkling mouthfeel. The spices were quite up front with the fruits found in the aromas and a good witbier yeast aftertaste. Very good, easy-drinking, strong Belgian brew.

Robe blonde légèrement voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche mince. Arômes de céréales, de levures, de fruits et d’épices. Saveurs de malt caramélisé, d’épices et de levures.

Drank a pint of this one at Voie Maltee pub. Great brown color and appearance. Nice aroma with a very good taste. I would reccomend it.

Translucent and light brown, with decent lacing. Good, deep malty smell with some spices thrown in for good measure. A candi sugar and caramel malt sweetness and good carbonation. Not my favorite from them by any means, but a solid effort that I would gladly sample again.

Very light off-white head covers a deep appealing copper body with orange and ruby hints. Murky - Great color. Nutmeg and oregano stands out in the spicy aroma. On the tongue, it’s tart and leafy with a cranberry and rhubarb fruity and vegetal acidity. Pretty good take on the style. I’ve never been overly impressed with dubbels, but this is an above average example, if tart and spicy, it is also quite candyish, fruity (peach) caramelic, buttery and highly herbal. Medium body is highly carbonated and lets express more fruitiness in the finish, fig and pomegranate like. Very good as with all their seasonals.
