Nice IIPA, my third one from this micro-brewery, and so far, I’m still very impressed by the quality. Above average, until next one.

Hazy amber under a small lingering white head. Nose has some light caramel with more pronounced pine, citrus (orange and grapefruit primarily), and some grass. Not quite as bright as i would expect which may be due to the carbonation. Some sweet caramel is a little more obvious in the taste which is good because it has to balance a big bitter dose of pine and citrus which starts early and lingers. Mouth is medium+ and oily with slightly soft carbonation. Big bitter IIPA. 7/3+/8/4-/15-

Hazy amber color with low activity. Slightly creamy beige 2 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with moderate legs. Flavors of caramel, herbal hops, pine, orange, clove, roasted grains, a little floral. Slick and smooth full body with extra crispy and prickly carbonation. Extremely grassy, leafy, piney, and bitter. Very strong and long astringent mouthfeel of grassy hops, burning acidic pine, and orange peels. Overall the quality is there, but its not really good. Unbalanced, overly intensified, too bitter. Not very fresh and super dry, while the alcohol is well hidden. The flavors are rapidly overwhelmed by the finish...it’s grass juice in a can.

On tap the premises. Range and clear with a dence ediu white foam. Aroma of malt and cooked hops. Taste of coriander and cooked meat !!! Yeah, I know, it’s the first ting it come to my mind. Full body for the style, ethanol and spicy.

473ml can from Marché du Village. Aroma: light grapefruits, strong biscuit malt, caramel. App: cloudy copper, medium off white head, good retention, good bubbly lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, a tad more fruity in mouth but still really backed by this strong maltiness, light to medium sweetness, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter finish. Overall: far from my expectations. Not bad but not great. Really not a fan of iipa’s leaning towards the malt. I’m much more of a hop forward guy. That being said, it’s drinkable... while eating. Feels too big all by itself. Wouldn’t mind drinking this at my parents place but won’t buy it for me at home. No dates on the can but feels like this is old.

Cheers!

Murky gold pour. Nose is mostly citrus and pine and residual sugar. The hops smell a little stale (I get overripe clementines more than fresh rind/pulp/pith) but taste-wise this stuff is nicely balanced and very drinkable. With some fresh, dank dry-hopping this stuff could be a real gem ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
