This beer pours light straw in colour with a small white head. medium - High carbonation. Aromas of citrus, herbs, subtle juniper berry and a touch of spice which continue through onto the palate. The carbonation is a bit sharp with a clean and slight bitter finish. This would serve as a good session beer being that it is a bit one dimensional and not that challenging to drink. Bottle from Carrefour, Calais 22-02-10 consumed 02-03-10 Pours orange/gold lightly carbonated with some white bubbles showing. Quite sweet in a honey and syrupy way, it’s also very malty and with just a hint of orange, absolutely fine but also a beer that I quickly tired of and couldn’t finish the bottle. bottle, best before march 2005 (Thanks jerohen). Vintage. Golden, with lots of yeast particles. This is a truly amazing taste. First sip tastes like honey, then mango and peach come along...and stay. This all without getting too sweet or sticky. Excellent beer!!! I am curious for the non-vintage, although i think i’ll be disappointed. SHIG (4962) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - FEB 1, 2009
Bottle: Poured a yellow orange with a huge white lacy head. Aroma is sweet with fruit, spices, and hops. Taste is sweet fruit with a sugary spike.
