bottle. Poured clear light amber with a chunky white head. Sweet grassy aroma. Light body, boring mouthfeel, almost flat with a sticky finish. Grainy flavour, pale malts with faint herbal hops.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2003 This has to be one of the worst beers around. Brantford, Ontario yokels seem to like it though God knows why?? It has a poor flavour and a bad aftertaste.. Like metal. Mark from Brantford drinks it. I had this again on Christmas Eve because the bar we were at was out of all their 50 my friends managed to drink. I thought I would try it to bring back some old memories. And like the beer tastes it brings back nothing special. What a poor quality beer. I do belive that it is only Brantford keeping this brew alive and on the market!

This is the Northern Ontario "lets get pissed" beer for blue collar dirtbags who want to get sophisticated, but cant afford Keiths. Typical Labatt product - lifeless, uninteresting, a rip off if it was free, and youd still want your money back.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2004 This is the beer of choice for my dad. For some reason, it's just friggin huge in Bruce County Ontario. Extremely pale. Very fizzy. "Pops" doesn't have to worry about me drinking his beers. If you own a trailer, lock the fridge before you go to bed! Somewhat refreshing. Must be served at exactly 3 degrees celcius.

341ml Bottle: My wifes family have SO many weddings every year, always at the same place, who only serve five pieces of macro crap. Finally, last night, I decided to try Crystal. The lady at the bar informed me, with a very straight face, that Id "never drink another brand" after; high praise, indeed! Poured a gentle, unassuming yellow with an ever-so-slight edge of white head on the plastic glass twas poured into. A delicate aroma of air and water. The taste.. well, its better than Blue. But then again, so is a ninja throwing star to the left nut.

plain, watery. i had no idea that this stuff was still around. i was shocked to find it in a bar when i asked for a bottle of their least popular beer. pale and plain.

sinkhole (263) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 24, 2006
Standard light yellow appearance, with a bit of a white head. A slightly stronger malt flavouring than most macro lagers. Worth checking out but probably not sticking with.

This is better a better lager from the big canadian macro brew. Price is reasonable, a very good beer. Too bad they dont make it theyre flagship brew, better then Blue.

Every time I go to Canada I make sure this is one of the brew I pick up. Its just a good macro lager. Nothing special aweful aroma and and almost completely clear with a strawn and cereal flavor. Goes down like water. MMMMMMMMMMMM

wanted to try this for a while, and Im dissapointed. I refiuse to belive that this is "unchanged in recepie since the 1800s" as this tastes, much like okeef does now, like a very modern beer with just a splash of old world flavor in it. And its not realy a hoppy taste anyways, its a little maltyer. Thats it thats all. Overall Nice, light, plesant taste of light malt, medium high carbonation, and a lingering skunky aftertaste. Everything but the aftertaste screams out lawnmower beer. Cheers. {oh ps, I think if this is the unchanged way it tasted back when it was created, I CAN belive it was labats first lager ever, seing as they still cant seem to get it right. Cheers}
