12 oz bottle from the four type variety case. Weak, insipid and anemic. The low cost of the case explains everything. bluejacket74 (1992) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - MAY 16, 2014
11.5 ounce bottle, a friend gave this to me recently. Served in a mug, the beer pours a clear copper color with an inch off-white head that stays around a while. There’s also a good amount of lacing. Not much to the aroma at all, just some bready malt and toffee. Luckily the taste is stronger. The brew tastes like bready malt, caramel, toffee and a bit of fruit (mostly apple). Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit creamy and slick with moderate carbonation. I thought it was an OK brew, I wouldn’t turn one down. On the other hand, I don’t think I’d pay for one either. This was a sampler pack from Labatt, Seasonal... I guess.
I really like marzen beers in general.
This was a paler than expected orange with a small off white head.
The flavor pretty malty, but a touch more bitter than sweet. the beer is fairly light bodied, and crisp.
An ok Marzen.

This might be contract brewed by Genny - Rochester. Part of a mixed case. ’Brewers Collection Limited Edition’. Spicy nose, vegetables, floral hops. Palate is mild, inoffensive, a bit of malt, some depth. Appearance is clear dark gold. Ron (3959) - Rochester, New York, USA - NOV 5, 2011
I’m glad my son likes to buy the different cheap beers. That way I can try acouple without having to buy the case. Bottle. Dark hazy amber with small head that diminished quickly. Moderate aroma of hops and sweet caramel. Medium body. Moderate balanced flavors with a moderate sweet finish.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark amber color with a large creamy/soapy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy sugar, faint honey and a touch of tropical fruits. The flavor was very sweet and tangy with vague citrus, honey and tropical fruits. Medium length tangy finish with lingering citrus and honey. Moderately full bodied. partchapol (128) - Ohio, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Floral, grass; amble brown; toast, light, less taste; thin texture; drink again? Maybe not generallee08 (772) - New York, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 11.5oz. bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: It has a dark golden to light amber color with a small white head. This heads fades quickly leaving only a thin ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Lacing is non-existent.
Smell: There is only a faint wisp of malt with some spicy and grassy hops.
Taste/Palate: The flavor has a light to medium body with very light roasted malt character that bring just a slight touch caramel like sweetness over a plain cereal like base. This is cut with some light grassy hop flavor and bitterness. It finishes light.
Notes: Overall there is nothing too far off but it came up a bit light for me and I wouldn’t recommend this one.

Bottle. Pours a clear, light brown. Weak aroma of sweet oats. Taste is similarly weak. Not offensive but not good. jgb9348 (6256) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 15, 2012
Clear copper coloured body with a slight hint of an amber glow and a thinnish, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of light malt, toffee, caramel and a hint of nutmeg - not much though. Light-bodied; Sharp metallic flavour up front with a lot of toffee and caramelised sugars and a bit of alcohol noticeable with the malt at the end. Aftertaste fairly one dimensional with toffee and malt and not much else aside from bitterness and alcohol. Overall not such a great beer, but that was expected - neat to see in a bottle like this and nice to try, but not much more than that. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle (brews collection, retro labeling) purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 22-April-2012 for US$1.35 sampled at home in Washington on 15-September-2012.
