4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Another gusher from LaBelle. I really don’t want to clean my flour on every beer, thank you. On the positive side, it has an awesome label. Pours a dark brown body and light tan head. Cacao aroma, rustic malts, farmhouse yeast, even some funk and a toast like appeal. Decent. Taste is more chocolate with softer brown sugar and a nice rustic cake like ending. Some smoke here too. Smooth rich, mouth filling brew. Much better than expected. Really nice actuality. (33cl bottle from Biere Revolution)

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black color without head and no carbonation. Aroma has notes of roasted notes with coffee bean traces. Flavor has a strong black coffee taste and licorice with a medium biterness and roasted malts notes. Dry and coffee final with long duration on palate. Mild creamy and smooth.

Bottle. Slight gusher. Black color, medium to full sized tan head that lasts for quite some time. Aroma is malts, lightly roasted malts, peat, lightly smoke. Taste malts, some roasted malts, again firmly peated, slightly smoke. Medium body, smooth yet suitable carbonation. Nicely balanced, a fine beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 15/08/14. A black beer with a little off-white head. Islay peatiness throughout. A sweetish base beer. Very smokey/peaty but I didn’t mind it in here at all.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle [Slight but constant gusher]. Jet black colour with average to huge, frothy, diminishing, on a low level fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Intense smoky aroma, lots of peat, shoe polish, tar, tarmac, TCP. Taste has identical notes with basic, moderate, dark malty sweetness; sticky palate, the texture is not as oily as the taste suggests. I’m really into Smoked, but this is quite some hard stuff - reduced, boiled down, seemingly poisonous - but still yummy. If you’d agree to define Schlenkerla Eiche Doppelbock as the outermost pole on the Smoked scale, representing the archetype of the Weyermann malt, ham and wood ashes side, Série Noire could do well as the opposite pole’s paradigm incorporating the peat, tar and shoe polish notes in extenso.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Glebia czarnego koloru, gestosc i nieprzejrzystosc. Super piwo i super w swoim stylu. Ciekawa filmowa etykieta. Polecam zapalonym fanom piw z Bamberga
