Bottle split at Chris & Ruth’s pre GBBF Shindig, 07/08/16. Dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is cocoa powder, light charring, spice, toffee. Taste comprises roast malt, biscuit crumble, toffee, cocoa powder, dark fruit esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok but lacks depth for the ABV.

August 2016 - Bottle share at Chriso’s Sunday Shindig. Thanks! As ’Lacada Salamander Series #1 Utopian Stout’. Opaque black, small foamy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, ash, earthy, burnt coffee bean. Body is light, frothy with soft carbonation. Taste is earthy, breathy roasted malt, chocolate, a hint of varnish and booze. Decent. (3.5)
