The loneliest wee colony of rabbits are on the Skerries, a collection of rocky islets off the North Coast of Ireland. As they nibble the sparse grass they are able to glimpse the twinkling lights of Portrush and see the marram grass waving on the dunes of the East Strand.

33cl bottle at The Sunflower, Belfast. Pours very dark brown with a modest, beige head. Malty and roasty with somewhat earthy and wooden notes, dar fruits and licorice. Moderate sweet with some acidity and mild roasty flavours. Pleasant and easy to drink.

Dark brown body, very firm head. Sweet, firm roast. Charred vanilla. Carbonation is through the roof. Finish is somewhere between over roasty and under sweet.

Bottle thanks to McNeillR. Appearance - dark brown to black with red chinks. A lively fawn head. Nose - molasses and light smoke. Taste - more of the same. Toffee too. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - solid.

a tad undercoditioned but otherwise a very decent porter. opaque dark ruby brown, beige lacing, fruity blackcurrant and wholemeal toast nose, light bodied, fruity, dry, earthy, proper porter
