UPDATED: MAR 4, 2003 Very floral aroma with the distinct smell of Cascade hops. Good solid copper color that is somewhat similar to a hefeweizen. Nice creamy head that leaves a lace on the glass. Very hoppy, however the malts do not balance it out very well. The malts are only present on the tip of the tongue as you take each sip.

This IPA is fully on my list as one of the best IPAs that I have ever had. The hop aroma is off the chart sending you into waves of sensory heaven. Reddish gold color and the hops are a landslide of bitter wonder. Good job!

Medium brown color, medium head. A full-bodied IPA. Malty and very aggressively hopped. Some malt sweetness. Clean and smooth taste. Hops predominate in this beer, but there is enough malt balance to make it really interesting. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

KingPinHead (390) - Des Moines, Washington, USA - SEP 23, 2002
Rust-orange color with extremely thin head--cloudy--very unusual appearance...Aroma quite fruity and floral/hoppy. .Flavor has fine floral hop bloom that is powerful but not overwhelming. Malt is mostly a non-factor on the flavor front but contributes to the nicely-rounded body. Overall, the hopping in this IPA is very nice indeed, but flavor profile could benefit from more malt contribution...Still, very tasty.

uglybastard (101) - Riverside, California, USA - JUL 13, 2002
Smells of pineapple. Has an estremly thin, white head atop a reddish orange body. Head leaves a bit of lace on the glass. Very thick appearing and feels that way in the mouth. Sweet and tart at the same time. Plenty of hop bite with a hint of creamy banana-like sweetness. Very good beer.

JoeM500 (1909) - Crown Point, Indiana, USA - JUN 17, 2002
Thin and watery, lemony hops aroma. Soapy taste that left the aftertaste of lemon rind for awhile.

jaymobrown (1845) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 16, 2002
A dry taste that sits on the sides of the tongue. A golden color, with a then head. Very strong presence of lemon with a thin, watery texture.

Very nice strong hops, not too malty. But I'm a hophead...................

HoppedHead (106) - seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 6, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2005 Pours copper with a thin head, citrusy/piney aroma, initial malt sweetness quickly over run by big hop flavor, leaving resiony bitterness on back of tounge and a carmely sweetness on the tip of the tounge. Excellent IPA with huge hoppy flavor, even better dryhopped!

Dark yellow hop dominated American style IPA. Lovely grape aroma.
