UPDATED: MAR 13, 2003 Though lacking the actual hop-bud content of the "Bottleworks" variety, this beer lacks none of the appeal. Hoppy, thick, and wonderfully unadulterated by malt --like drinking dripping heaven itself. I could drink this one all day and all night.

A few of the bars in town (Bellingham) carry La Conner IPA on tap ($8.50/pitcher) and it is always wonderful. Great beer from the great state of WA. I drink alot of it.

I was fortunate enough to sample this on cask at the Archer Ale House. Incredie McDreadie!! Radiant, golden-orange colour. Spicy, piney, sappy hop aroma. Flavour to match, oh man!! Fantastic balance and complexity of hop flavours.

This was a very good beer. Great hop aroma and a juicy hop taste. Well worth trying if you can find it.

This IPA is fully on my list as one of the best IPAs that I have ever had. The hop aroma is off the chart sending you into waves of sensory heaven. Reddish gold color and the hops are a landslide of bitter wonder. Good job!

On tap at the brewery. A most beautiful beer. A deep, murky, pale straw/ light copper pour. Thick creamy head. Smells of hops, hops, and more hops. Taste upfront of hops, then settles into a smooth malty back mouth feel. A very pleasant beer, in fact probably my favorite IPA. I just could not get over the fact of how well made this beer is.

Verne (263) - Enumclaw, Washington, USA - FEB 23, 2003
Sampled at the LaConner Brewing Companies brew pub

A little cloudy, light brown with an orange tint, fast fading head, light lacing holds on. Strong aroma of northwest hops, citrus with just a hint of flowers, this beer seems to be heavily dry hopped. A nice rich malt flavor that ads a very mild sweetness to the flavor, but over all it has a dry character. This beer is a hop bomb and one of the best you will ever have. A perfect American IPA. Balance what balance were talking hops

Pine scents. malt finish. very hoppy right off the bat. smells spicy and chive like. appearance is unknown due to dark growler swilling but undoubtable beautiful appearance. This is NOT a creamy tastge... sharp and herball. great hoppy ipa

HoppedHead (106) - seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 6, 2002
UPDATED: MAY 26, 2005 Pours copper with a thin head, citrusy/piney aroma, initial malt sweetness quickly over run by big hop flavor, leaving resiony bitterness on back of tounge and a carmely sweetness on the tip of the tounge. Excellent IPA with huge hoppy flavor, even better dryhopped!
