Appearance: hazy orange, fine off white head, drippy lace
Aroma: sweet bready malt aroma, light earthy hops
Flavor: sweet malt flavor, lots of bready character, enough earthyness the constrain the sweetness without adding much bitterness, light butterscotch becomes strong as it warms
Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 5/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 11/20
Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweet malty caramel aroma with some bready hints. Sweetish malty caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty finish with caramel hints. BlackDonald (1126) - Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA - JUL 17, 2008
Sweet malty nose, which follows through into the flavor proflie. Rich and sweet without that annoying graininess that I have had recently in other takes on this style. This is just smooth and sweet as can be without being over the top. This could use just a touch more carbonation as it has kind of a flat mouthfeel. 6/28/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is sweet malt forward with an almost herbal note. Appearance is clear gold with a low white head. Flavor is sweet and simple, with no grain or hop character and only moderate bittering. Mouthfeel is moderate bodied with a low carb texture. Overall, nowhere near big enough for a vienna lager, this needs much more roast/munich malt.

Their best one on tap! Great head and lively, 'bold and beautiful' ... I didn't know whether to drink this or save it to bathe in later ... just kidding! Smooth, very smooth with no kick but powerful. Very good with the pizza at the La Conner Brew pub in lovely downtown La Conner. You gotta go and have a LAGER! Grain and malt dominate the aroma and initial flavor. Wonderful Creamy texture. Seems to taste bigger than the advertised 6% alcohol. Crit (4057) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 13, 2003
Cloudy deep amber, lasting off white head.Faint malt nose.Decent body, but bland malt flavor. Ringo (963) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - OCT 8, 2002
Captures the style well, although it is dark, it still tastes like a lager. Many brewers who try a Vienna have it come out tasting like an ale. BillKismet (4137) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 10, 2002
Cloudy apple cider appearance/peach color--atypical for a lager. Initially a tad bitter, but relatively smooth after the first gulp or two. Nothing more than average.
