COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian abbey-style amber ale with good malt structure, faint undertones of chocolate and a beautiful copper amber hue. This new batch will clock in with moderately strong alcohol and low bitterness levels. Brewmaster Dave suggests pairing it with our burger, moules-frites (mussels and fries), and sausage plate, as well as our fish du jour. Gold Medal Winner!
Originally 6.8% abv, but slowly tweaked up to 8% abv.

Good red. Still just a red, but a good one. My girl ordered it and I liked it so much that i drank more than she did. Beautiful color and nice thick head. Clean crisp malty taste that has floral hops available for the nose and mouth throughout the drink.

A reddish copper ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light candy sugar, light bilous notes, light solvent, herbaceous character. In mouth, a roasted caramel malt with light candy sugar, light curacao, light cucumber, a bit strange. On tap at Mohawk Bend.

This is a strong Belgian ale. Loud flavors, malts, alcohol. Paris well with stronger foods. Caramel with the usual yeast flavors. A little alcohol at the finish, especially with food.

[2/18/15] Draught at Ladyface Ale Companie in Agoura Hills. Clear amber with a beige head. Aroma of malt, a bit of caramel, a toasty note, an earthy note and some fruitiness. Sweet flavor, malty, caramelly, fruity, yeasty, a bit alcoholic. Medium-bodied.

Short: A simple Abbey Dubbel with a new abv high enough to be BSA

Origin: Ladyface Size: 4oz Price: $1.50
Long: Full haze amber pour with spotty lacing. Nose is red cherry and banana, small esters. Taste is banana bread, mild alcoholic cherry. Palate is about to go chalky and dry as usual with Ladyface’s house yeast strain but somehow dials it back in. Still, too dry for style and abv should be lowered so as to not clash with the Trappistine offering put on tap simultaneously.
Flaws: Competes with another house offering of nearly identical abv and style. Slightly too chalky and dry.
Skill Level: Uninspired
