The Ladyface IPA is a very refreshing beer that satisfies the need for a good IPA without being overly hoppy.

Tap at Ladyface. Clear orange with webby lacing. Nose is house yeast, fresh oranges, fresh pale grist, something body odor like. Taste is juicier than the Amarillo apa but with a similar mega dry finish verging on tannic astringency. Aroma highlight.

On tap @ the brewpub (displayed as 6.9%). Golden blond color, slightly hazy. Dense white head, good lacing. Aroma’s: hops, a bit earthy, some resin, vegetal with cheese & wet socks retronasal. Flavor is medium bitter. Body is medium. Finishes quite bitter. Apart from the weird aroma quite solid.

On tap at the brewery. Amber/gold with a nice puffy head. Good lacing. Hop aromas are mostly dank and resinous, but some citrus was detected. Tasted resinous and piney. Big malt backbone balances things out well. This is pretty much everything I want in an IPA. Great beer.

Light orangish pour, white head. Aroma is nice and hoppy forward, some tropical fruit, mango, peach. Flavor is nice and citrusy, resin, tropical fruit, unripe stone fruit, light caramel. Nice!

The highlight of my trip to Agora. I loved this beer. Even moreso than the much more highly acclaimed Cheseboro, which i also reviewed. Beautifully layered hoppiness that started bitter and ended surprisingly sweet. I’m glad I drank this before the DIPA, as that was a palate killer, and it liekly would have left me unable to enjoy this beauty.

(Draught) Pours a clear orange body with medium white head. Aroma of orange, grass, grain, apricot, and peach. Flavor of orange, caramel, pineapple, and grass with a bitter finish.
