Hazy amber color/ ivory sheen. Nice tooty fruity columbian ganja bud aromas. medium bodied. Tropical fruit, bitter grapefruit flavors with some pale malts to balance, nicely bitter finish--good

Nose is fairly subtle - some pine notes from the hops, slightly floral, faint sweetness. Pours mostly clear, golden color with a white head, average retention. Firm bitterness, hops come through with pine and hints of grapefruit, bitter and slightly metallic finish. Medium body and carbonation.

From growler at beer party in LA. Amber, bright, with scant lace. A mellow hop aroma is bright and floral, with a slight bit of pedio hanging around. Has an English character. Lingering floral hop finish. Nice and quaffable.

On-tap at Ladyface A: The beer pours a clear golden straw color with a finger or so of white head. S: Actually not a bad hop nose to this. Nice citrus notes, a touch of sweet fruit, and some hints of pine. A nice mix of grapefruit and pineapple. Maybe a little bit on the sweet side, but very nice overall. T: Flavor has a very bright, fresh grapefruit flavor that is just great. Tons of citrus, a bit of lemon peel, and a very light pineapple juice flavor. Not much in the way of malt, surprisingly. Just a bit of pine bitterness. M: On the light side of medium bodied with a medium carbonation. O: Damn, was not expecting such a good beer from these guys. Really nice.

Sample tray. Amber with off white head. Hops, citrus, very well balanced, sweet and grapefruit, becomes bitter, huge dry and wacks you with hops at the end. Long tasty finish. Very good.

I had this on tap at Ladyface Alehouse. This is a solid IPA: good hops & malts with nice balance.

Darker in appearance than expected.Aroma and Flavor have some hops but the earthy malts take over more than i would like.

A really wonderful IPA. Plenty of citrus and pine in the aroma, but the flavor breaks out some vegetal craziness that I wasnt expecting. Really a delicious beverage that I wouldnt mind having over and over again.

Draught at the pub on my birthday. Thanks for not cranking this IPA up to an 11. This was a pleasantly mild IPA that had nice citrusy hops with some pith included and a nice balance with sweeter malt. Very easy drinking and not palate-crushing bitterness...sometimes thats nice.

Pours a hazed dark golden with light amber highlights from a 64oz. growler shared by iowaherkeye (thanks, Joey!) at the Stone Brewing Oakquinox event at their World Bistro and Gardens (Escondido, CA): Nose of effervescent citrus peel, mangos and perfumey floral hops backed up by some caramel malts. Flavors of soft pine, chewy dough, pink grapefruit meat, earthy bitters, caramel, tropical fruit, and light lemon zest. Really enjoyable. Nice. Drinkability: Impressively doesnt try to reinvent the IPA style, but rather complements it. Pairing: Fried chicken. Comfort foods. Rebuy: Yeah. #419 on 20042010, DG.
