Growler @ DLD: Black pour tiny head. Aroma, roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, some oats. Flavor was similar, pretty decent. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - DEC 30, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Interesting light toasted oatmeal and grass cookie. Amino and omega acids. Dense. Pours a surprisingly pale ruby-brown, fairly dark, but no oatmeal stout. Thick tan cream up top. Flavor is oily and has that good, toothy oatmeal flavor, but not really the density to hold it up. Roast character melds in well, but doesn’t stand up amongst the light bodied. A bit of yeast. Not the best density, but a very decent flavor profile. Maybe more of an oatmeal porter than an oatmeal stout. JaBier (7972) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JAN 10, 2010
Sample at Lafayette. Darkest brown color with a thin tan head. Malty and roasty aroma with some chocolatey sweetness. Creamy malt flavor with some sweet chocolate before a dry roasty finish. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUN 6, 2010
Thanks to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a dark brown color with a very small tan head. The aroma is pretty heavy on the coffee but also has some chocolate and roasted malt notes. The flavor is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and tobacco. Medium-thick, slightly creamy mouthfeel and low carbonation. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 7, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2010 Sample from a bottle at the Day Before Labor Day party. Pours dark brownish-black with a medium beige head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and mild coffee. Medium body with flavors of roasty coffee, sweet malt and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a lightly bittersweet chocolate aftertaste. Decent Stout overall.

Black pour, tan head. Aroma of hops and some malts. Flavor is very sweet for a stout, with a hoppy finish to combat what one might think was going to be smooth. AllAboutStout (605) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 9, 2007
Had this on draft on a recent road trip. Served in a pub pint glass.
Appears a very dark brown with a good one inch head on top. Looks good.
Smell is roasted oats and malts.
Taste is roasted oats with some molasses. Mouthfeel is really thick/creamy and smooth. Little to no carbonation to speak of.
This is a good offering and a very good representation of the style. It goes down very easy and with no signs of the alcohol content. Which makes this a very sessionable beer. xmarcnolanx (937) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - OCT 22, 2007
Very dark brown pour with no head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, toffee. Nice, subdued aroma. Taste is slightly acidic with an oatmeal and roasted malt presence. Decent. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 6, 2010
(12oz bottle) clear ruby/medium brown khaki bubbles. Nose of meat, oats, cocoa and dark chocolate. Taste of dark chocolate, caramel, cream and oats. Very smooth palate was the best feature of this one. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 24, 2010
Pours dark brown with a tan head. Smells of earth, tea, oats. Tastes of chocolate, molasses, some oatmeal.
