Aroma: Lots of citrus hop aroma.
Appearance: Pale amber with a nice, white head.
Taste: Medium sourness balanced by a light sweetness.
Palate: Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation, long finish.
Overall: Nicely balanced, but not mind blowing. Still, a very solid beer with some character. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - JUL 2, 2014
Bottle. Sugary bready caramel malt, piney/herbal orange hops aroma. Hazy amber with a large beige head. Sweet bready caramel malt and harsh herbal/citrus peel bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. JStax (7175) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - FEB 16, 2014
12 ounce bottle poured into a teku glass. Pours a dark copper with a beige head of foam. Pretty good retention. The aroma is nutty, grassy, resinous. The taste is earthy, tree bark-ish, toffee-like. Some licorice. I don’t know how old this bottle is, but this is definitely more malt forward than hop forward. Kind of an earthy sweetness. Some bitterness comes through near the finish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. BeerdedDave (1875) - Beckley, USA - JAN 11, 2014
deep amber color; piney hop aroma; piney hop flavor on a bready malt background with caramel notes Chudwick (3367) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - NOV 26, 2013
12oz bottle - pours hazy amber with two fingers of beige head and faint lacing. Nose is citrus, mainly grapefruit, and honey. Malty backbone. Wet. Kind of light, body wise and taste wise. Warming esophagus. Probably would have been better a little colder. Cool label.

Bottle pour dark amber. Nose dank hop, smokty malt, some sweet. Taste strong bitter up front. Some sweet malt then strong bitter finish. Not much aromatic flavors. steelhead3686 (270) - Jacksonville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 15, 2013
Pours a cloudy copper-ish brown with a small white head. The aroma is somewhat hoppy with hints of citrus and a malty roast note. The taste is a solid medium bitterness with a hint of sweet. It has an almost medium body with a slightly creamy/sticky texture. This is a very good American pale ale that would rival some of your typical (and maybe even some of your favorite) IPAs. I would pick this up in a 6-pack and probably in the bar in bottle or on tap. DedicatedToFun (4003) - Santa Monica, California, USA - JUL 20, 2013
On tap at World Beer Fest in Cleveland, nothing special here, decent american pale ale with decent hops, nice alcohol percent though, kept it fresh. redlem (1306) - Ohio, USA - JUL 18, 2013
Dark amber color with a medium haze and a small off-white head. A malt forward approach you usually only see with IPA’s not pale ales. The sweetness is first noticed then the bitterness, which is mild with citrus notes. There is nothing wrong with this beer just not my preferred interpretation of the style. On tap during Ohio Brew Week 2013, taster from Red Brick. Clear amber color. Good thin off-white head. Decent lace. Some piney, orange-citrus aroma. Floral hops. Kind of soft, slightly lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Some nice caramel malt, and spicy hop flavor profile. Kind of spicy, moderate bitter taste, minimal sweet. OK IPA.
