Clear medium to dark brown color with small sized body particles, a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white grey head. Aroma is heavy malty, strong coffee, roasted malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration, cold coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 
Bottle, blind #34. Pours clear and deep amber with a lacing off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and light coffee. Dark malty, fruity and slight coffee. Roasted and dark malty. UPDATED: AUG 21, 2010 Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with an orange hue and a beige head. Sweet hard roasted malt in the nose. Medium body, hard roasted malt, licorice, chocolate and ashes. Rather subdued bitterness. Very pleasant. 290510

Dark brown color, not completely black, small head. Nice aroma, coffee, a bit dusty. Round mouthfeel, nice mix of roasted malts with light chocolate caramel and coffee; correct bitterness.
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Very dark brown to black color with a deep dark red glow coming through when held into the light, medium sized light brown head. Aroma is malts, dark malts, lightly roast malts, earthy and slightly chocolate. Taste malts, dark malts, again a bit earthy, lightly bitter, lightly dry. Average to medium body and carbonation. Bottle, bought @ Beer City, Belgium. Pours almost black with a medium, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, light coffee. Medium carbonation, fine dry if kinda light mouthfeel. Flavour has roasted malts, dark chocolate, some cocoa. Mild bitter and slightly watery finish.
