Very hoppy yet smooth IPA with a clean finish. Drank out of bottle so couldn’t fully rate but looking forward to having more! Heathen (1500) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Thoughts: Smelled like most Lagunitas, but tasted unlike most Lagunitas beers. It was way less extra sweet and packed with darker malts than normal There was tons of hop flavor without extreme bitterness. Very light in color for an IPA. Decent.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. The label on my beer clearly stated 7.5 not 7.3% ABV. Poured a clear, medium to dark golden yellow with a large, off-white head that mostly diminished and left excellent lacing. The aroma was light to moderate pale malts and lighter caramel malts; moderate to heavy pine, resin and orange among other citrus hops; apricots and slight alcohol. The initial flavor was light to moderately sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet and moderately bitter with a little longer than average duration. There was ale malt, a hint of honey, citrus hops, slight caramel, and orange rind. The just about medium body was slightly syrupy with fizzy carbonation and an ever so slightly metalic finish. scarletfire65 (1507) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 30, 2011
Amber orange color with a medium, quickly dissipating head. Big summery nose with aromas of apricots, pineapple, flowers, and pine. The flavor is bitter grapefruit, fresh hops, and a solid wheat malty sweetness. A little less sweet than most Lagunitas high IBU offerings, they tend to over do it. This is actually nicely balanced for an IPA. Overall it is a big, bright, sunny flavorful beer. Highly and dangerously drinkable at 7.3% ABV. dukeredhair (243) - California, USA - MAY 29, 2011
Aroma of pine, flowers, a hint of mango. Appearance is pale, loose white head dissipates quickly leave a nice lacing. Taste starts flowers, spice hops, then a wheat malt background plows through. Really refreshing. Palate is thin and a bit boozy. overall a really nice summer beer for BBQ and get togethers. BeerLimey (2155) - California, USA - MAY 29, 2011
[Bottle] Lightly hazed golden hue, moderate head formation. Big hoppy nose, floral, citrus and strong herbal aroma. Dryish citrussy palate, light malt body, plenty of bitterness in the finish. Tastey and plenty of hop character but just seemed a little unbalanced.

Fairly light straw with bright white head. Beautiful floral almost herbal aroma. Flavie is fairly light but plenty of balance and charecter. Nice! Dfonorow (2274) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 24, 2011
Pours somewhat hazy yellow with a slight orange hue. Large head at first but fades quickly. Aroma is normal for an IPA with notes of citrus, grapefruit, and peaches. Not much floral aromas but the taste is quite floral with hints of peaches and grapefruits. Bitter hoppy finish, medium bodied. mcnealc31 (258) - Elida, Ohio, USA - MAY 18, 2011
Pours kind of a hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Smells like honey, hops, and wheat. My first taste is about the same. It’s kind of like a wheat IPA. There’s some grapefruit, some grass, a little bit of malt sweetness, and long, dry, tart finish.
You’d never guess it’s 7.5% ABV.
I definitely get more IPA than wheat, which is probably why I like it! Overall, it’s different, certainly worth a try. Very drinkable, especially for its ABV. Koelschtrinker (21492) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 17, 2011
Fruchtig-herber Antrunk, recht trocken.

Light straw color with small head. Pretty bready and mildly citrusy aroma. Mid-sized body with a somewhat grassy mixed with bready finish. Tasty brew.
